Welcome to the 'Have a go' section, here you will be able to look at up coming courses, select and book your place in a few easy steps.
All courses are run at the Shed 2 Studios where Rachel creates her willow sculptures. Shed 2 Studios boasts a collection of highly skilled Designer Makers from within the Creative Industries. You will be able to experience the creative atmosphere when you come along to try your hand at creating your own work to take home. Nestled down a small alley, the studio is housed within an old style factory building with original curved windows running down its length and open plan workspaces.

Willow Bird Feeders
 On this workshop you will be able to create your very own willow bird feeder using a pre cut wooden centre, freshly soaked willow withies and a basic basket weave using two willow withies. Time needed approx 2-3 hours Cost £18 per person Equipment required apron Skill level basic/medium Willow Obelisks On this workshop you will be able to create a pair of willow obelisks of your own design using freshly soaked willow withies. These make a stunning addition to your garden for plant support or for climbing plants. Time needed approx 2-3 hours Cost £30 per person Equipment required apron Skill level basic Willow Sphere Sculpture  This workshop you will be able to create your very own woven willow sphere that can be placed in your garden. You will learn how to create a 3d object by creating a series of interlocking circles to form the structure. Onto your structure you will be weaving freshly soaked willow withies in a design of your choosing. When your sphere is complete you will also be provided with a metal rod, which will hold the sphere and allow it to be placed within your flowerbed. Time needed approx 5-6 hours Cost £50 per person Equipment required apron Skill level medium Willow Wreath This workshop you will be able to create your very own willow wreath that can be used to decorate your home. Using freshly soaked willow withies to create your wreath using a simple technique. A large ribbon bow adds the finishing touches. Time needed approx 2-3 hours Cost £18 per person Equipment required apron Skill level basic |
